Key Challenge:
The expert handling and removal of an extremely heavy C-shaped permanent magnet MRI, requiring a coordinated dual-crane lift.
Our Solution:
We were entrusted with the purchase and decommissioning of a Hitachi MRP-7000. Permanent magnet MRIs are among the heaviest medical devices, and this project's centerpiece was the removal of the multi-ton magnet and iron yoke assembly. After meticulously dismantling the machine's covers and patient table, our team engineered a complex lift, coordinating two heavy-duty cranes to safely hoist the massive core unit and position it for transport.
