Project – High-Reach Crane Removal of an Elekta Linear Accelerator

Key Challenge:
The extraction of a multi-ton LINAC from an upper floor of the hospital, requiring a high-reach crane and the temporary removal of a section of the building's facade.
Our Solution:
This project required a surgical approach to logistics. Tasked with purchasing and removing a LINAC from an upper-floor treatment room with no ground access, our team devised a comprehensive heavy-lift plan. After dismantling the LINAC inside the facility, we coordinated with a high-reach mobile crane. Each multi-ton component was carefully rigged, moved to the exterior opening, and expertly hoisted down to street level, all while managing public safety and minimizing disruption to the busy area below.
