Project – Purchase and Removal of a Toshiba CT Scanner
JASLOK HOSPITAL
Equipment Type
Toshiba Asteion CT Scanner
Key Challenge:
The safe and efficient dismantling of a multi-ton CT scanner, including the precision removal of its heavy, high-speed rotating gantry assembly.
Our Solution:
This project involved the purchase and complete decommissioning of a Toshiba CT scanner. Our technicians began by systematically disconnecting the complex power distribution and data systems. The key phase of the operation was the expert rigging and lifting of the core rotating drum—the heart of the CT scanner containing the X-ray tube and detector array. Using specialized equipment, we safely hoisted the multi-ton assembly from its housing, demonstrating our technical proficiency in handling high-precision imaging components.
Value Delivered:
-
Provided a competitive purchase price for the end-of-life CT system.
-
Minimized downtime for the radiology department with a swift and organized removal process.
-
Ensured the safe handling of all high-voltage electronics and heavy mechanical parts.
-
Managed the entire logistical chain, from in-room dismantling to final transport.
